About Me

My photo
Welcome! I'm honored to announce that I am no longer a first year teacher, but officially a more experienced SECOND year teacher. However, it is my first year in fifth (hence the title of this blog). I am very excited, and very nervous, about teaching the "big kids". Read to find out my thoughts and reflections as I document my journey as a year two full-time teacher!

It's good to feel loved.

This week is "Teacher Appreciation Week", so every day the PTO has a different array of food set out in the lounge. Here's the breakdown:

Monday: "Breakfast" - bagels, parfaits, donuts, muffins, fruit.
Tuesday: "Snacks" - popcorn, chips, granola bars.
Wednesday: "Goodies" - brownies, cookies, cake, chocolate fountain. This is a dangerous day.
Thursday: "Massages" - yes, every teacher gets a massage today. Definitely looking forward to tomorrow :)
Friday: "Lunch" - not sure what this entails, but I figure it's going to be amazing, just like every other day this week.

It's good to feel loved (especially when you don't know if you're getting your job back next year)!
